Munching! Munching! and Munching! What else can you expect from me? Being a foodie, I am always on the look out for the delicious and healthy munchies. I remember, mom used to make quick stir fried makhana (lotus seeds) in ghee and sprinkle it with the salt and that used to tasted amazing! Now a days, you can find makhanas in so many flavours but let us first find out the health benefits...

I recently came across Pop Mak, a company into making varieties of roasted makhanas and was delighted to see the following flavours::
  • Black Salt
  • Black Pepper and Himalayan Salt
  • Mumbai Chaat
  • La Tomatina
  • Tropical Jalapeno Peppers
  • Hint of Mint
  • Sour Cream n Onion
  • Peri Peri
  • Indian Spices
I read that the company - STK Foods was formed on 10th July 2012 by a couple of people with an intention to offer natural food to the public and since then there is no looking back. Started in Pune, it is now spreading to Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Punjab, Ahmedabad, UK, Dubai and many more.

I opted for POPMAK because it is 100% natural and tasty offering one can have with the family and more over the variations they have is to look out for. I was tempted to try Black Pepper and Himalayan Salt, Indian Spices and Sour Cream n Onion from them and I tried all those three without any delay. Cost of a packet is Rs. 100 per 100 gms pack. Some may find it expensive, but after all its another form of dried food.

Black Pepper and Himalayan Salt : A basic flavour of Himalayan Black Salt, Black pepper and palm oil and the best part is there are no artificial contents. It has a subtle flavour which one can munch anytime, anywhere.

Indian Spices : The taste was similar to chatpata chana – bit tangy and spicy. Good for all who love to have health with taste. Suitable for Indian palate. This surely be their best seller!

Sour Cream and Onion : When I first read about this flavour, I was very keen to try it. International flavour in regional food was a creative thought. I tried my hands to it, nice, mild flavour. Suitable for kids and I am sure they love it. For my preference, I would surely wanting to add more sour cream and onion flavour.

Go ahead and try some delicious guiltfree munchies anywhere. Health and taste go hand in hand here. Pop Mak is available on Amazon, natures basket and even on their website.
