Effingut Brewerkz – Cheers to Kharadi! — Reviewed!

Effingut Brewerkz has always been one of my favourite places to enjoy good food, great ambience with positive vibes. Known for their craft beers, Effingut Brewerkz have two of their branches in Koregaon Park and Baner, and just have come up with the next outlet at the fast developing location at Kharadi. Congratulations to the passionate owner Manu Gulati and his equally passionate team. Effingut Baner is close to my heart because of the books, coffee and food offcourse!

Ambience:: Located in World Trade Centre, Kharadi Effingut Brewerkz is easy to find. The ambience is comforting, intimate and sophisticated. The interiors are somewhat similar to the previous branches like antique bike hanging high, quirky quotes frames, old machinery are highlights. Indoor and Outdoor seating options are available too. The place features multiple HD TVs and premium bar. Whether it is a corporate event or private parties or just a leisure drink with friends, Effingut Brewerkz is a relaxing setting for sure.

Food:: Keeping the classic dishes same across all outlets, the Kharadi one has some fantastic new additions to cater the offices and corporate crowd around. Special menu includes Wok Tossed dishes, Pizzas, and Kathi Rolls. Paired with the amazing mocktails, following are the dishes, I tried....
  • Veg Spring Rolls (4/5)
  • Threaded Cottage Cheese (4/5)
  • Loaded BBQ Potatoes (4.5/5)
  • Mexican Veg Kathi Rolls (4/5)
  • Quattro Formaggio Pizza (5/5)
  • Veg Khow Suey (4.5/5)
  • Hazelnut Cheesecake (5/5)
  • Hefeweizen Banana Trifle (4/5)
Lunch meal started with the refreshing orange based mocktail. Post chit chat, we were presented Veg Spring Rolls in a small glass with a hot garlic dip. Rolls had tooth prick to handle but it was not needed. Just pick your crispy fried roll and dig into the super delish dip. Filled with the mix of medium spiced stir fried vegetables, the springs rolls were gobbled in no minute. Recommended!

Bar nibbles also included Threaded Cottage Cheese. Soft and fresh Paneer was marinated in the oriental spices and coated with the shredded filo dough for that extra crunch and deep fried. Served with hot chilli sauce, Threaded Cottage Cheese is a popular Indo-chinese starter. Take a bite and feel that crunch and from inside you'll get the yummy paneer. Recommended!

Next addictive nibble was the loaded BBQ Potatoes. Slightly longer than the usual fries, this was thick cut and tossed in an in-house bbq sauce and drizzled with cheddar. Perfectly cooked and mildly spiced these bbq fries were most favourites. Highly Recommended!

Kathi Roll
is a decent addition to the regular menu. With so many corporate office around, people look out for the 'grab and go' dish. Chef has come up with this idea of packed rolls. Cut in two halves, the filling was cajun spiced marinated cottage cheese with bell peppers and onions with mexican spices. It was delicious and filling. One roll and hunger at bay for few hours. Rolls were spicy, tangy, savoury. Totally loved it. The outer covering too was not very dry. Recommended!

I was eagerly waiting for the most talked about dish – The four cheese pizza or Quattro Formaggio Pizza. Thin crust loaded cheese pizza was hot favourite for all. Orange Cheddar, Parmesan, Scamorza and Mozzarella topped and baked to perfection, the pizza actually took us into the food coma. Just relish the basic yet scrumptious cheesy pizza. Highly Recommended!

Desserts were equally good. I tried rich and chocolatey Hazelnut Cheesecake. Cold Cheesecake over the crunchy Cookie crust, topped with hazelnut-chocolate spread and garnished with grounded hazelnuts was pure indulgence. A must try!

Hefeweizen Banana Trifle too was delightful. Creamy, layered banana trifle infused with Hefeweizen is popular amongst people. Being a teetotaller I preferred cheese cake over this.

Overall, I had a fantastic meal and I am sure you guys too will love it. Do visit and share the experience in the comment box below.
