I was super excited to be invited by FBAI (Food Bloggers Association of India) to be a part of the celebration. I opted for Whispering Bamboo, Vivanta by Taj and am so glad I did. Vivanta by Taj, the huge five star property is located in the Koregaon Park, wherein the travellers can seek hassle free experience. Taj is known for minimalistic and simple styles. Keeping the tradition, Whispering Bamboo is also designed the same way. Bamboo shoots decorated around the wall, wood print chairs, yellow walls goes well with the theme. I loved the vibes of the place, quick service, and excellent authentic Chinese food. Live music on weekends makes the ambience more vibrant.

Isn't this tempting? I was privileged to try all of it; however, the customers need to choose any one from each course.
Our dinner started with the appetising Jasmine Tea, a traditional chinese drink.
Starting from the soup – Clear Vegetable and Garlic Soup is a simple and healthy soup. Subtle taste, balanced flavour, one sip and just soothing feeling. Exotic vegetables in veg stock and topped with burnt garlic made this dish amazing. Basic yet flavourful.
Golden Corn Five Spice - I am still craving for this munchie. One of the finest and addictive sweet corn recipe for me. Each corn kernel was separately coated and deep fried to perfection. Each spoonful was food for soul to me.
Assorted Dumplings had steamed spinach and golden garlic dumplings and pan fried vegetable dumpling. Both had distinct flavour and the wholesome meal appealed all to my good senses.
Another star dish of the evening was Chestnuts in Sweet Garlic Sauce. Blanched Chestnuts in Schezwan sauce will surely tickle your taste buds to crave for more. Crunchy, crispy from outside fritters tossed with sweet and spicy garlic sauce. Each bite had burst of flavours in the mouth.
We were overwhelmed with the starters itself however could not resist the main course. Shandong Veg Fried Rice and Assorted Vegetables in Mustard Chilli Sauce was first combination. Rice were so flavoursome with bit garlic and other spices. Exotic veggies stir fried in spicy chilli paste and strong mustard sauce is quite an innovative dish and went well with rice.
I am not a big green veggies fan so just tried bit Stir Fried Chinese Greens. Nicely made dish with Broccoli, Bok Choy stir fried in Soy sauce, vinegar and garlic flavoured oil. Healthy choice...:)
Vegetable Hakka Noodles, a wholesome meal in itself with goodness of veggies and taste of spices. It was awesome!
Finally, the dessert platter for us. Though, in regular serving, only one dessert of choice will be served. Our platter had Fresh cut fruits, Date pancake and Darshan with Vanilla Icecream. Darshan is deep fried crispy flat noodles tossed in honey. It was super yum. I am going again to have this...:)
I am sure, words will not suffice the beautiful experience we had at the Whispering Bamboo. Mr. Praveen, the F&B Manager and Mr. Ganesh, the restaurant manager are very co-operative and helpful. This was one of the memorable evenings, I would cherish.
