Wynkk Lounge was started by Mr. Shrikant as an inspiration from his favourite lounge in Mumbai. He is living his dream with Wynkk and the idea was to offer a place in Pune where people can just sit, chill, relax, spend quality time with friends or family, drink, eat and come out as happy faces. Wynkk is breaking perception about lounge, yes, there is much more than just liquor! A comfortable place to plan parties, meetings or just chatting and having delicious food with good and soothing music in the background.
Few months old lounge, located in Bhosale Nagar, surely looks promising and is liked by most. Big board of the name is prominent and hence cannot be missed! For people unknown of that area, its just the lane adjacent to E-Square, University Road. Lounge has some space for indoor parking and also guest can opt for valet parking.
Ambience: Yellow exterior is attractive and gives a very homely feeling in first look. Wynkk lounge has two types of seating one of which is a mezzanine giving a private space to families or big groups. The whole place can accommodate around 50 people. Wooden stairs, old posters, records, recycled bottles as lamps, guitar on wall, makes it lively and gives a very retro feel. They also have small DJ section at the right side near entry and on some days of the week like Freaking Fantastic Friday, music of 60's to 90's are played which can vary from rock, retro, sufi or even bollywood.
Food: The food menu is Asian. If you are unable to decide, what to eat, they have "Must Try at Wynkk" option and you are sorted. Choose from Fish Pickle to Jerk Chicken to Kathi Kebab and Kheema Pav. While drink menu is extensive offering Wines, Beers, Whiskey, Vodka, Gins, Shots, Martini etc. The best part is hard drinks are not allowed to juveniles and Mr. Shrikant is very firm about it. :) Rules are rules, after all! :) Happy to learn that.
Now came our tasting time. Because of dark ambience, pictures are not that great but the food was for sure! ;) So, enjoy...

Paneer in Black Bean Sauce is an Indo-chinese recipe. Paneer was fresh and tossed with veggies in sauce. Loved its tangy, sweet taste.
We were too stuff to try anything; but Mr. Shrikant, insisted us to try their another signature dish in main course – Veg Burmese Khow Suey. It was delectable one pot meal with crisp noodles, veggies in creamy coconut milk. We were presented noodles in star shaped; curry in a bowl and the condiments to choose as per our taste. We made our own dish and trust me one of the best khow suey. It was just very delish and the taste still lingers in my mouth.
Post dinner, we had a chance to chat with Shrikant and was lovely to hear about the challenges he faced and his journey towards a new beginning.
I would highly recommend this place, if you are looking for a destination with all in one things like good food, lounge ambience, prompt staff and wonderful music. Go for it now as they have sunday brunches also!

Starters were bombarded on us! :D Literally, one after the other tempting ones. Service was very quick and we had to ask them to take a while. Offcourse, we need time to take pictures. Right!? Presentation was excellent.
We started with Crispy Veg and believe me what a start! I was sure looking forward for the extravaganza coming on my way. Crunchy, less-oily deep fried assorted vegetables tossed in sweet-chilli sauce was just too perfect! Crisp and crunch in each bite was tingling my taste buds to crave for more. The highlight was "less-oily". Highly Recommended!

Golden Pouches were just so delicious. Small crispy potlis stuffed with veggies and cottage cheese mixture was too good to resist. It looked so attractive. I am sure, not only the kids but all will be going to love and be curious to try whats inside the pouches! Recommended!
Matka paneer was the signtaure dish; cottage cheese cubes cooked in rich gravy in the matka, just like dum. It was simply irresistable.
Veg Seekh Kebab were nice but bit dry for me. However, it tasted good with the mint-coriander chutney.
Not a big fan of mushroom but Mushroom ki nazakat was very nicely made. Mushrooms were stuffed and grilled to perfection with bell peppers and tomatoes.
