Barbeque Nation is the pioneer of the live grills on the table. Well known for the scrumptious unlimited starters, Barbeque Nation got a makeover and now the with over 100 dishes, food spread is bigger and better. Apart from the regular grills, the live counters including one of pizza are a great addition to the menu. Happy hours, Brunchon and Kitty Parties are some interesting offers.
I was glad to visit Barbeque Nation, Kalyani Nagar for a weekend lunch. Valet parking is available. Staff is courteous though I expect them to be bit proactive and attentive. Reservation is necessary for a hassle-free experience. It was almost packed when we reached there. The manager walked us around and briefed about the add-ons.
After comfortably settling in, we started our lunch with the starters served on the table. There is a set menu with an equal number of veg and non-veg dishes. We started with the most popular Cajun spiced potatoes and yes it was and will always be a delight! Next up was the Lemon Basil Mushroom which was equally delicious. The Crispy corn and Paneer lajawab were a treat to taste buds.
Went to try some fresh and green salads from the array of choices. Also, you can move around to grab the chaats, pizzas from the live counters. I tried my hands on very lip-smacking pani puri then moved on to the Aloo Tikki Chaat and Sev puri which was absolutely toothsome. Also, had the bite-sized pizza and I am sure one is not enough.
The usual perfectly marinated veg grills including pineapple, corn cob, mushrooms, and paneer were served as soon as we concluded starters. The main course ranging from Indian to continental was set up in the buffet. I relished the Veg Kofta Curry, Dal E dum, Paneer Kadhai and Kabuli Chane ki Biryani.
The show stoppers were the selection of desserts from the counter. Beautiful, colorful and delicious Indian and western sweets were lined up. I loved the Jalebi and tarts. Wish the Moong Dal Halwa was warm enough for us to enjoy it on a winter day. Kulfi Falooda was the star as the flavoured Kulfis are topped with generous amount of rabri and falooda.
Overall, Barbeque Nation is a fun place to enjoy with family, friends for not only a special occasion but also for a regular meet-up place. For the costs, timings and reservations, do not forget to check out their page.
