Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu (CKP) is a sub caste of Kshatriya and a part of Kayastha community and an ethno religious clan of South Asia. The origin of CKPs is from Kashimir and North India. Some of them settled along the Konkan coast hence fish, kokum, tamarind have become an integral part of its cuisine. CKPs cuisine is influenced by Maharashtrain style of cooking but still distinctive from sub ethnic groups. Faasos – Signature Wrap and more! — Reviewed!

Faasos has been my first choice to have pocket-friendly rolls and meal box. Recently, they also started the breakfast range and revived the new menu with the signature wraps. I tried the Veg Jumbo Wrap, Chhole-Kulcha, Exotic veggies in sunset milano, and Kesar Muesli. The delivery was 30 mins before time and everything was neatly packed and spill-free. I started the lunch with the Exotic Veggies in Sunset Milano Salad (Rs.129). It was a medley of colors and total value for money. Green Salads with carrots, peppers, jalapenos, olives, bell peppers, lettuce, onion and salad dressing was a healthy way to start the meal. Total value for money. That salad was a meal in itself...:) Next was the Veg Jumbo Wrap (Rs.199). Bit overpriced. The wheat roti wrap was overloaded with the paneer curry, chholey, and veggies with loads of sauce. The filling was oozing out of the roll and made it tedious to eat. Taste wise, it was perfect! Bit spicy, tangy, savoury. Loved it! Really was eager

Maharashtrian Food Festival – Ten days of pure indulgence! Reviewed!

What if you get a chance to eat the food from royal kitchens or the recipes which are on the verge of getting lost or the authentic recipes but are known to a few? Courtyard by Marriott Pune Hinjawadi in association with Maharashtra Tourism and Development Corporation (MTDC) is hosting a 10 days Maharashtrian food festival from April 11th April – 21st April 2016 which will feature all the royal and ancient cuisines of Maharashtra. The menu is specially crafted by celebrated food connoisseur Aditya Mehendale , scion of the Sardaar Raste family. He is known to blend tradition with innovation to create delectably unique dishes. A book "Rare Gems", written by Mehendale showcases all the hidden traditional non-veg recipes across the state.
