Big Brunch Small Prices – Sunday Brunch at 212 All Day Cafe and Bar — Reviewed!

Brunch - a socially accepted excuse for day drinking! Isn't this true!? 

Drinks coupled with scrumptious food on lazy Sunday at a stealing price – what else can you ask for. Pune roll your sleeves, your Sundays are sorted with the launch of The Big Brunch, starting 13th November 2016, by our favourite 212 All Day Cafe and Bar at Phoenix Market City.

The Big Brunch is inspired by the electrifying vibe of ‘The Big Apple’ or New York City where Sunday is funday. Friends, Families eat drink and merry together. At 212 all day cafe and bar, now everyone has a reason to rejoice! Foodies, socialites, shopaholics, kids, can double their happiness with lavish brunch at a friendly price.

Best part is all the starters are served directly on to the table. One can order the Chef Paul Kinny's signature dishes, Made-to-order Eggs and Brekkie, and Hot Mains from the Kitchen as per your requirement. Servers are on their toes to serve the hot and fresh preparations! You will surely be spoilt by the choices they have to offer.

Starting with the drinks, you can go for Mocktails, Cocktails, Red/White Wine, Kingfisher Premium Beer, Sula Brut Tropicale, Brut Tropicale Cocktails. 

Soups had two variants – Light Veggie & Mushroom Broth (My favourite) and Creamy Tomato Pesto Soup. These are also served directly on your tables. 

Salad Station and Mezze stations can be seen placed in front of the bar in the corner. The humongous spread had beautifully presented small plates of salads like...

• Mushrooms and Cucumbers Tossed in French Vinaigrette
• Arugula and Creamy Feta Salad (My favourite)
• Asian Crunch Salad 
• Spiced Potato Cakes with Sour Cream
• Caesar Salad with Garlic Croutons and Parmesan Shavings (Favourite) to name a few. Apart from that you can also make your choice of salad.

Hooked to salads, I moved on to see the Mezze Station, Pita Bread, Sesame Lavash with Green Goddess Hummus, Baba Ganaoush, Cilantro and Feta Dip, Roasted Beetroot and Chicken Dip. Just wow!

Choose Open Veg and non-veg sandwiches from the Tartine Station or go healthy and select your choice of veggiesor fish/chicken/ to be grilled at the Grill Station.

Brunches are incomplete without brekkie items like eggs, waffles, muffins, focaccia, pancakes etc. You can order for scrambled, boiled eggs or even omelette or Eggs Benedict to satiate the breakfast pangs. French Toast, Pancakes with a choice of fruit compote, maple syrup, whipped cream and butter will surely make your soul happy! :)

Do not forget to try Beetroot and Ricotta Ravioli, Gnocchi or Spaghetti at Pasta station. Mexican food lovers can smile too as they can load their tacos, nachos with variety of toppings at the live station.

Then there is more in small plates. Highly recommended Onion Rings, Sliders of Assorted Mushoom, Portobello and Pesto Crostini with Ranch Dressing. Then additionally there is Veg and Non-Veg Pizza. Drool worthy delicious Hot mains from the Kitchen comes the Vegetable Paprikash and Herbed Rice also Seared Cottage Ceese, Grilled Veggies and Black Bean Sauce. Do give it a try!

Chef Kinny's signature desserts had Baked New York Cheese Cake (I am sure, you wouldn't want to miss this), Banana and Toffee Pudding was too cute to eat, Peanut Butter Pie, Warm Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice-cream, not to be missed.
