Lazy winter mornings and late eats leads us to brunch. Question was where? Brunches are a rage these days. Each one of the hotels are coming up with some innovative and creative idea. This time the place we picked was Hyatt Regency, their Farm to the Table Brunch surely clicked me.

The idea of bringing the freshness of artisans food directly to the plate, is well thought and executed by Chef Rajdeep Rana and his team. Trust me, the buffet spread is extensive with all the seasonal specialities crafted beautifully. One of the few places which actually offer what they commit. True to its theme, freshly procured, organically harvested and well executed by the chefs, this is an unforgettable experience for all the people.

Moving ahead is fresh doughnut counter with chocolate fountain, in-house made freshly churned seasonal ice-creams. At the entrance you will see the market styled meat shop, freshly made pasta counter with raw materials all procured from local vendors.

How local can it get with Buckwheat or Semolina Pasta? Team it up with Clams and Mussels, Buffalo Bolognese, Cream Sauce, Homemade Pesto, and Garden fresh tomato.

The buffet is planned to cater everyone's palate. So one can choose try the authentic local Maharashtrian flavours like Pithali Bhakri, Rassa, Mutton Curry, Bhaji at the exclusive counter.

Then there is Asian counter with balanced spread of veg and non-veg Sushis, Tempuras, Dimsums, Satays, Yakitori etc.

The dishes are changed periodically so you can feast each Sunday differently! Thai food lovers can rejoice also, as there is special Thai Food Counter with some specialities on every buffet. Thai Curry, Snapper are a must try and not to mention the herbs and spices are house cultivated.

I was in awe with the simple, small things that were giving a very genuine feeling to the concept. Like a small toy bicyle carrying hand picked carrots, peas to munch is placed on the table. Also, the garden fresh different types of tomatoes are used for the salads. I mean everything so earthy! Use of jaggery, plums, figs in desserts gives us that satisfactory feeling of having something seasonal fresh and not frozen. Take a bow Chef Rajdeep!

We tried Corn tempuras and oh my god! What taste! Crispy fried corn with the honey chilli sauce was just mind blowing.

Farm fresh veggies like Aubergine, Sweet Potato, Pumpkin for charcoal grilled and had a very nice smokey flavour. Freshness is unbeatable! A must try!

Garden Fresh thin crust pizza had all the goodness of herbs, veggies and a crunch of walnuts. The Mozzarella cheese was also at its best quality. Basic yet delectable!

Grilled veggies, paneer were also equally nice. Paneer was succulent and had right amount of marination.
Chef's special Thai Green Curry and Rice were incomparable. Creamy, coconuty flavoured curry with exotic veggies was one of the best I had so far.

Well, my words and photos will be worth, if you people go and try it yourself. Brace yourself for a culinary extravaganza.
