1BHK Superbar in Baner is a fresh addition to the burgeoning Baner area. The name is quite attractive and the expansion (Bar. Haute. Kitchen) of which is written on the roof just at the entrance. The two-storey restaurant has the vibrant outdoor seating with the food and beverage graffiti. As soon as you enter, the place welcomes you with the brasserie offering salads, soups, sangrias, coffee and juices with a take-away option.
Ambience: One can see a lot of elements in the interiors. After a small chit-chat with the owner, Rajat, we got to know about the insights of the decoration. "The idea to open the restaurant was the educate the Pune people about the food, thus, you can see the food graffiti, various kitchen tools", says Rajat. Mini scooter, Page 3 words, hanging wooden panels are some of the features at the 1BHK. There are so many options in seating area – be it the cosy corner with the painting on the top or the one of its kind Jhula Table or the high tables with tapas in the bar area. The high energy Superbar separates the tapas and dining section, hence, people can choose to sit as per their liking.
Menu: The hauté cuisine served in the dedicated casual dining is comfort world food with an Indian reach. From Tapas to Main meals, the place has over 150+ dishes on the menu. We had some of the signatures...
I am a huge salad lover. And best part is when it has fruits in it. So, the Watermelon Feta Salad with in house Balsamic Vinegar Caviar was the freshness on the plate. The sweet, tangy salad is perfect for summer.
Loved the idea of Mezze platter. We ordered Princess Veg Mezze Platter for the group of 4. It had the refreshing Baba Ganoush, Tabbouleh, a delish smooth Hummus and a bright tempting Muhammara along with the nicely toasted pita bread. A must try!
Mushroom lovers would surely love this vegetarian starter – Scampi Mushroom. Half cut scrumb fried mushrooms were stuffed with the finely chopped mushrooms, spices and topped with cheese. Served in a toy truck, the dish had the pungent smell of mushrooms, so couldn't eat much.
Another dish for the starters – Garlic Mushrooms with Pita Bread. The cheesy, gooey sauce had the finely chopped mushrooms with a hint of garlic. Loved the combination with the fresh pita.
One of my personal favourite dish from the menu was the 1BHK Cottage Cheese Steak in JD's sauce.. A complete meal in itself, the plating was done right on point. Perfectly marinated and grilled large chunks of paneer were stacked over the grilled exotic veggies and served with creamy potato mash, salad and spicy dip. Highly recommended!
Wanted to try Thai Green Curry with Steamed Rice. The portion size was good but it was more watery and had the strong flavour of asafoetida rather than the coconut milk. It was anything but Thai curry. I wish it was more balanced in flavors.
Now came the desserts. Blueberry Cheesecake was superb. It was decadent and mild sweet, the way I like. Napoli Tiramisu and Profiteroles can be avoided.
Overall, the ambience is nice, food is good and the staff is courteous. I would like to go again to try some more dishes. Enjoy some more photographs! :)

From the mains we had The Butter Paneer Nazza. Nicely cooked butter naan was topped with spicy paneer. Needs to be eat hot and fresh otherwise it might get chewy.
We chose Contandina Pink Sauce with Multi Veggies from the Italian range. I wish it was more cheesy and saucy. However, overall the dish was good.
