Cinnamon Spice – Kebabs and Biryani Festival: Dinner in winter evenings — Reviewed!

Cinnamon Spice is the Indian speciality restaurant of the Seasons Apartment Hotel, Aundh apart from Melange, their rooftop restaurant, Flavors, an all day dining, Lost the Plot (Rooftop Cinema) and the Coffee Shop, The Cellar. The open air restaurant has Bollywood inspired interiors with Mother India poster, live music of golden era songs, old vintage car, red and black color schemed wall, open bar gives it a very lively and vibrant feeling.

Located in Sanewadi, Aundh, the hotel is hard to miss. Outdoor parking is available. Being an open air restaurant, Cinnamon spice is open for dinner only. I was there for the Kebabs and Biryani festival which started from 18th November 2016 - 11th December 2016. Apart from the A La Carte menu, patrons can enjoy varieties of Kebabs and Biryanis. I got the chance to sample some of their signatures.

We started with a veg kebab platter having Paneer Siya Mirch Tikka, Subz Vilayati Kebabs and Palak Anardana Tikki. Paneer Siya (Rs.325 +taxes)was marinated in black peppercorn and grilled in clay oven. Taste was nice, I wish they were generous in the quantity of the marination.

Subz Vilayati Kebabs (Rs.280 + taxes) had some exotic veggies like Brocolli, Babycorn, Peppers coated with Indian spiced marination and then put in tandoor for the smokey flavour. Loved it!

However, the best on the platter was Palak Anardana Tikki (Rs.280 + taxes). It was a spinach, potato and bengal gram mixture fried and topped with pomegranate seeds. The second plate we received had paneer filling and trust me, it was just so delish! The spices, crunch were perfectly balanced. Highly recommended!

Biryani served in dum and handi. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) in Paneer Tikka Biryani(Rs.325 +taxes) was succulent and flavourful. Mild spicy and the aroma of kevda just blew me away! Had it with rich, creamy veg raita and your dinner is sorted!
Desserts had warm gulabjamuns and Rasmalai. My vote goes to Gulabjamuns! A safe option anywhere you go.

People can expect good food, admist live music, where one can request the song. Overall, a wonderful place to be to enjoy winter evenings along with hot, scrumptious Kebabs and Biryanis.
